Saturday 17 May 2008: Final Round of the Championships, where afterwards we are hosting the end of season prize giving and party in the Beach Hotel Pendine(hotel that overlooks the beach) where we will announce winners of the National and Open Championships for Men and Women. European team selection will be announced. Hot buffet provided free of charge to PKA members ( all other peeps wishing to attend £6 !!) Music provided by the PKA minister of Sounds till really late! Sunday 18 May 2008: Team Event - "I'm Buggier get me outa here!" Format: A 12 mark course set over 8 kms with checkpoints and challenges!   National Series Results Updated Round 3 [Added - 08/04/2008]

The overall results have been updated, following this weekends event. See the Results section for details. We have also now added the results for each of the rounds as seperate results sheets. We also have a beta version of the TIME-IT! REPLAYER (Version 1.0.0.30) available for you to download. This allows you to re-run the races so that you can see how the races developed. To download it click HERE. You will also need to download the PKA DATA zip file. Follow the instructions in the readme.txt file that is in the TIME-IT!-REPLAYER zip file to install and use. Be sure that you check back after each round, as you will need to download the updated PKA DATA.

  National Series - Pembrey 5-6th April 2008 [Added - 26/03/2008]

Timings for the third round of the National Series Registration: 08:00 - 09:00 in the marquee located on pitch 15 in the park Pilots briefing: 10:30 on the beach - DO NOT BE LATE! First race: 11:00 - 11:30 start PLEASE NOTE: TOWING OF BUGGIES IS NOT PERMITTED ANYWHERE IN THE PARK Camping: We have booked pitch 15 (our normal pitch opposite the cafeteria). The cost is £2.20 per person per night, payable at registration. The Evening: Evening entertainment will be housed in the PKA marquee: Friday night - Bring refresment Saturday night - Bring refreshment and food (BBQ) See you all there.

First race: 11:00 - 11:30 start If there is time at the end of the day, on saturday, there will be a 1 hour enduro open to all pilots. Prize giving will be at 16:30 on Sunday.   Icicles Enduro 2008 [Added - 29/11/2007]

Dig out those thermals, fill up those thermos flasks and get yourself ready for the classic ICICLES 3 HOUR ENDURO! Being held on the 9-10 February 2006 at it's traditional home - WestWard Ho!, it's looking like it'll live up to it's reputation.   The Last Gasp | 10-11th November 2007 - Pendine [Added - 24/09/2007]

In conjunction with the Carmarthen Land Sailing Club, the Parakart Association is proud to announce the return of The Last Gasp. Traditionally held at Pembrey, South Wales, this event has been synonmous with the end of the seasons racing calendar. For 2007, the event will be hosted at Pendine Sands, a short drive from Pembrey. This is an informal event, that will provide short course racing for beginners only and open class short course racing on the saturday with an invitation to all to compete in the gruelling but "fun" 4 hour individual endurance event on the sunday. See the "Events" section for further information and registration. PARKING RESTRICTIONS Please note that there will be parking restrictions in place, regarding the car park at the top of the slip. Signs will be posted and we ask that all pilots respect them. Accomodation: We have secured the following accomodation for those that require it. Ok folks, we have started work on the new Velocity! magazine - due out in January 2007. This will be published quartely and we ask that YOU, the pilots, contribute to it.   5KG additional weight ruling [Added - 27/09/2007]

Inline with the ruling of the KBA, and to fall into line with the rest of Europe, the PKA will be adopting the 5KG maximum additional weight rule at its events, with immediate effect. All pilots are requested to adhere to this rule and make any necessary modifications to comply. PKA Committee

  European Parakart Championships 2007 | Pembrey [Added - 24/09/2007]

Pembrey’s association with speed events is legendary since 1927, when the Land Speed Record attempts were moved from Pendine Sands. 80 years on, Pembrey is to play host to the fastest, most adrenaline fueled sport of the 21st century - Parakarting! From the early days of parakarting when any strange contraption was used, to today’s purpose built race buggies, parakarting has grown to become one of the most accessible, and environmentally friendly sports available to the adrenaline junkie. Powered by the latest generation of custom made race kites, top pilots will reach speeds in excess of 60mph - with no brakes! Using the latest technology and techniques race kites are built with one aim - to win! Top pilots will have an average of ten kites in various sizes to suit varying wind conditions, from 1.5 square metres to 16 square metre monsters.
